Official Rules for the Things That Make Scents Giveaway.
NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER THE GIVEAWAY. PURCHASE WILL NOT ENHANCE
YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. One entry per household per Giveaway.
1) Terms. Sponsor will conduct an online
Giveaway allowing eligible individuals to enter to win the prize set forth
below. Only one entry per person and/or per e-mail address will be accepted
for the duration of the Giveaway. False or deceptive entries or acts will
render the entrant ineligible. All entries become the property of Sponsor
and will not be returned. Deadline to enter is 11:59 p.m. (EST), on the last day of each month. SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MODIFY SCHEDULING OF THE GIVEAWAY
WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE. SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE OR SUSPEND
THE GIVEAWAY WITHOUT NOTICE, AT ANY TIME AND FOR ANY REASON.
2) Eligibility. You are eligible to enter the Giveaway if you are: (1)
A US CITIZEN or LEGAL RESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. (2) ARE 18 YEARS
OLD OR OLDER AT TIME OF ENTRY; (3) ARE NOT AN EMPLOYEE, AGENT, AFFILIATE,
OFFICER OR DIRECTOR OF Things That Make Scents, AND (4) ARE NOT A RELATIVE OF
AN EMPLOYEE, AGENT, AFFILIATE, OFFICER OR DIRECTOR OF Things That Make Scents.
(5) ARE HUMAN - ANY USE OF ELECTRONIC DEVICES TO ENHANCE OR ALTER YOUR
ODDS OF WINNING WILL AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFY YOU. VOID WHEREVER PROHIBITED
BY LAW. GIVEAWAY IS SUBJECT TO ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS.
Sponsor may require winners to provide proof that they are the authorized
account holders of the e-mail addresses used to enter the Giveaway. "Authorized
account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned
to an e-mail address by an Internet service provider, online service provider,
or organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is
responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with
the e-mail address. Any winner who does not comply with the Official Rules
will be disqualified. Return of any prize or prize notification as "undeliverable"
will result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected.
Ineligible entrants may be disqualified at any time at the sole discretion
of Sponsor.
3) Entry. BY ENTERING THE GIVEAWAY, PARTICIPANTS UNCONDITIONALLY AGREE
TO ACCEPT AND BE BOUND BY ALL TERMS OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND THE DECISIONS
OF THE SPONSOR. To enter the Giveaway: individuals must submit their e-mail
address, first name, last name, phone number, street address (including, city, state,
zip code).
4) How to Win. Giveaway winner will be randomly chosen by a representative
of Things That Make Scents on or about the first day of each month from all eligible entries
received during the dates specified above. The decisions of the will be
final and binding. The odds of winning will depend on the total number
of eligible entries received. The winner will be notified by email or phone as indicated by the winner within
two (2) days of the drawing and must meet all eligibility requirements
including the execution and return of all necessary releases.
5) Prizes. There will be one Grand Prize for the Giveaway, which is a $20 gift certificate redeemable only at or online store; awarded to one Giveaway participant.
The Grand Prize winner will be chosen randomly from among all valid entries
received during the term of the Giveaway. The Grand Prize will be send
via email or shipped directly via UPS/FEDEX to the Grand Prize winner's
home address. In the event Things That Make Scents is unable to ship the Grand
Prize directly to Grand Prize winner's home address due to postal restrictions
or other circumstances beyond the control of Things That Make Scents, or if the
described Grand Prize is otherwise unavailable for any reason whatsoever,
Things That Make Scents reserves the right to substitute a prize of like value.
The winner is not entitled to any alternative prizes and the prize is
nontransferable.
6) General Conditions: In the event that any prize or prize notification
is returned as undeliverable, or the winner declines or fails to properly
claim his or her prize within five (5) days of notification then that
winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected by
random drawing at Things That Make Scents sole discretion. Things That Make Scents expressly
disclaims any responsibility and each participant hereby agrees to release
and to hold Things That Make Scents (and its respective employees, officers,
directors, shareholders, parent companies, agents, marketing partners
and affiliates) harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims
and actions of any kind in connection with the Giveaway or resulting from
the delivery, acceptance and/or subsequent use or misuse of any prize
awarded, including without limitation, personal injury, death and property
damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of
privacy. Things That Make Scents and its parents, subsidiaries, franchisees,
participating vendors, distributors, marketing partners and affiliated
entities are not responsible for (i) any condition caused by events beyond
the control of Sponsor that may cause Giveaway to be disrupted or corrupted;
(ii) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by a prize or
resulting from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of a prize, or from
participation in Giveaway; or (iii) any printing or typographical errors
in any materials associated with the Giveaway. Any entry that fails to
provide all required information will be disqualified. Sponsor is not
responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, delayed,
damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or unintelligible entries;
(ii) telephone, electronic, hardware, or software program, network, Internet,
or computer malfunctions, failures, delays or difficulties; (iii) errors
in transmission; or (iv) prize deliveries attempted but not received.
All entries must be submitted in the name of an individual person and
the Grand Prize can only be awarded to the person whose name is on the
winning entry. No mechanical reproductions or facsimiles of entries accepted.
Participants may not enter using multiple e-mail addresses or as multiple
participants. Things That Make Scents reserves the right, in its sole discretion,
to cancel or suspend the Giveaway should virus, bugs, unauthorized human
intervention, or other causes beyond the control of Things That Make Scents,
in its sole opinion, corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity,
or proper operation of the Giveaway or for any other reason at the sole
discretion of Things That Make Scents. In the event of cancellation, Sponsor
may, in its sole discretion, elect to award the Grand Prize to a winner
randomly drawn from among all participants who had validly entered the
Giveaway at the time of such cancellation.
